Graphics card

Graphics cards have thousands of smaller and simpler cores that do basic calculations. GPUs usually do repetitive tasks that can be split into smaller tasks and assigned to the smaller cores, allowing them to work in parallel. It's like comparing many kids (GPU cores) filling up water bottles compared to a single engineer (CPU cores) filling one bottle at a time. GPUs also calculate triangles that later represent objects inside a 3D game.
